Every visitor to Kauai should go see Waimea Canyon. Waimea Canyon has been called the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. Kauai's Waimea Canyon is smaller than the Grand Canyon, but it just as amazing. The Canyon was carved by thousands of years of river erosion from Mount Waialeale. Waimea Canyon is the largest canyon in the Pacific with a width of a mile, 3,500 feet deep and a length of 10 miles.
